Time sure does fly on by, doesn’t it? It seems like it was only yesterday that doors opened to recreational cannabis shops here in Washington. Well, we’re coming up on a year and the first legal pot shop I hit was New Vansterdam, on opening day. It was hot, the line wasn’t too long, and we all wanted to be some of the first people to buy legal weed in the area. You can read my first post on the strains I got when they opened, and then this post from my walk through with New Vansterdam. So much has changed since the opening of the first shops in the area, prices have dropped and will only drop more since the medical market is now being combined, many jobs have been created, and now Vancouver has 6 (right?) legal pot shops!

Since we’re coming up on a year since the sticky-icky’s been legal to purchase, let’s help New Vansterdam know they’re loved by checking out their 3 day celebration! Details seem scarce right now, but according to the event page they posted on Facebook, the celebration will go on from July 9 – July 11. They’re gonna have growers to meet, music to be heard, and local food to be shoved into your pie-hole, and yep, you can expect some deals too!
