“High By the Beach” is the second single off Lana Del Rey’s upcoming album, Homecoming, the follow up to last years Ultraviolence. 

Is “High By the Beach” about the lack of privacy Lana’s faced since her star has risen, a shot at the paparazzi, or words to an ex upon exiting their union? It could be one, or all of those things. but I like to look at it as a take-no-shit/give-no-fucks anthem to anyone who is dealing with whatever BS they’re faced with at the moment and just want to CHILL. As I sit here at work, I keep repeating these words to myself, it’s both maddening and soothing, much like Lana’s music…
