If you’re growing weed on your property be on the lookout for suspicious ass motherfuckers! One of my awesome friends B hit me with the link to a story where a man was held at gunpoint by his neighbor while he cut down his 88 cannabis plants.

“James Barry Harte, 54, who claimed the pot garden was an illegal trespass operation, is being held on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and making criminal threats, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.”

Here’s what happened: On Sunday afternoon, the suspect, Harte allegedly stepped onto his neighbor’s property and ordered him to the ground at gunpoint, he then cut his weed plants. Harte then accused the victim and another person of trespassing and growing cannabis on his land, he then threatened to return and burn the house down with the man inside if he didn’t leave the property. The victim was left uninjured.

The Sheriff, Lt. Kirk Mason said he has no evidence showing the victim was trespassing. After the whole shabang went down, Harte returned home, and was booked into the Mendocino County Jail for Assault with a deadly weapon, False imprisonment and criminal threats. At the time of this press release he was being held on $40,000 bail. (via)
