Weed Week Offers Education and Entertainment for All Ages This September

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA, (June 28, 2016) — A new and exciting national cannabis event is kicking-off in Anchorage, Alaska this September. It’s called Weed Week, and it’s a six-day event where cannabis entrepreneurs and leaders come together to share information, insights, and ideas through education, entertainment, experiences; and, of course, great cannabis!

“The idea behind Weed Week is to help normalize cannabis, and promote world class cities with world class cannabis,” said Cory Wray, manager at Pacific Sun West, the event management company behind Weed Week.

Weed Week, which goes from Sept. 6 thru Sept. 11, is a series of events which includes a lecture series, trade show, fun run, tasting festival, awards show, and various other social events throughout the week.

“Over the course of six-days, participants in Weed Week can choose the events they’d like to attend,” explains Wray. “Events are held at different venues across the city; and speakers from inside and outside the community are brought in to share insights, information, and ideas to inspire the cannabis community.”

Weed Week lecture series is made up of four tracks: Business & Law, Growing & Breeding, Health & Wellness, and Hobbies. The lectures will take place Sept. 6 to Sept. 8 at various venues in downtown Anchorage.

Each day of Weed Week will also feature cannabis-themed social events from launch party’s and casual cannabis cuisines to tasting sessions and a 4.20-kilometer fun run. Other events include yoga, hiking, brunch, trade show, and awards show.
