The Oregonian has created this video to help show the inconsistencies between labs when it comes to testing for potency results on edibles. I do believe that the medical side of things does need to have stricter guidelines and a more unified process when testing cannabis products, and I do believe that they’ll come up with something soon. The thing I don’t like about this video is how unsafe they’re trying to make the medical side look. When reading through the comments of this story, one person did point out that most veteran users and patients who grow their own cannabis get by fine without potency results. So, after watching this video, instead of thinking that medical cannabis is unsafe, make sure you’re medicating properly. With edibles, you never eat the whole thing at once, you take it slow and dose as needed.
