Vancouver may have its first store in mid July
Update: I talked to somebody from New Vansterdam and they told me they’ll be willing to talk on the record soon. They do appear to be shooting for July. I’ll have more once they’re ready to talk.
Also found High End Marketplace, another seller chosen in the lottery, has a Twitter presence here: @highend_market. They also Tweeted back that they weren’t quite ready to talk but would be soon.
When I know more, so will you. Stay tuned!

I don’t know much about this yet, so bear with me, but Vancouver could have its first retail store by early or mid-July.
Apparently a retail store called New Vansterdam (they weren’t listed among the six lottery winners, but perhaps somebody was bumped or changed names) is setting up at Mill Plain and Andreesen and hopes to open by July 1, if possible.
I’ve left a few messages this afternoon – more details to come soon I hope.
Their Website and Facebook haven’t been updated in a few weeks, but on June 16 the company Tweeted this:
Hello Vancouver. Got a lot done this weekend! If you're a grower or processor please contact us! #I502 #LegalizeIt pic.twitter.com/kEkMWDfZoL
