Most I502 warnings issued over tax payments

The Liquor Control Board’s frequently requested lists section continues to be a treasure trove of interesting information.

They recently put a new section up called “Marijuana; Education and Enforcement Data,” which shows violations, fines and warnings for I-502 businesses in Washington.

So far, the only month listed is September – and so far, no violations are listed for anyone in Clark County.

The most predominant violation on the list is “failure to submit monthly tax reports and/or payments.” Those with the violation have thus far been issued a verbal warning.

Two businesses were issued fines.

Botany Unlimited Design and Supply in Franklin County was issued two fines. An “unapproved product/unapproved storage or delivery (producer)” fine of $2,500 and a “failure to maintain required security alarms and surveillance systems” fine of $1,000.

Green Chefs in Snohomish County (an edibles manufacturer) was issued a “failure to utilize and/or maintain traceability (producer)” fine of $5,000 and a written warning for “failure to utilize and/or maintain traceability (processor or retail license).”

Here’s a .jpg image of the list – businesses are listed by their license number rather than name.

I’ve heard that LCB officials are making the rounds doing inspections this month, as well, so I imagine we’ll see more fines and warnings in October.

So far, it doesn’t appear to be anything earth shattering, considering many new businesses – and the LCB itself – is still sorting out early kinks in the I502 system.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on it.
