About a month ago Got Vape reached out to me for a review on their Exxus Twist Concentrate Vape Pen and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity!

Got Vape is an online shop where they sell numerous digital, handheld and desktop vaporizers including parts and accessories if you need replacements or are into modding your pieces. When my package from Got Vape was received I was quite surprised to notice that they also hooked me up with a concentrate container and dab tool, so this will be an unofficial kit review on the objects they sent

Wulf Tech Scoob Dab Tool $7.99 – The scoop dab tool is the size of a pen and has dual tips that vary in size giving you optimal control over how much you load, the smaller size works well with loading vape pens making it easier for you to load in tighter spaces. I definitely prefer the bigger tool over the smaller loading tools that come in other vape kits and portable dab sets. It’s very easy to use and durable as fuck! The dab tool is made with medical/food grade stainless steel and has dual tips on the ends to hold different amounts of concentrates.

Wulf Tech Dab Disc Silicone Concentrate Container $3.99 – Dab containers come in handy when you’re on the go and don’t want to carry your concentrates in the envelopes they come in. They’re made with non-stick food grade silicone with a freshness seal, which guarantees your concentrates stay fresh while you’re on the go and come in 3 color options.

Exxus Twist Concentrate Vape Pen $69.99 – The Exxus Twist comes with an Exxus battery, 1 dual quartz skillet, 1 loading tool, and USB charger. It’s a standard 510 thread meaning you can pop on pre filled cartridges, different heating chambers, the Exxus is also compatible with a variety of clearomizers available at Got Vape. The chamber is bigger than other pens I’ve used in the past and contains two quartz rods wrapped in titanium coils, a feature I cherish because I hate pens with wicks, concentrates are sticky and wicks make loading kind of a pain.

The Exxus battery has a variable voltage function giving consumers the option to heat their product anywhere from 3.2v – 4.8v, giving you the opportunity to figure out which setting works best with your concentrates. Not all concentrates are the same, they come in different textures from thickness and density, to their viscosity, so playing around with your battery will give you the chance to get the best flavor profile without overheating your product. The ion lithium battery has a neat, built in automatic shut off safety feature setting that turns your pen off after 9 seconds of continuous heat. To turn it back on wait 3 seconds then hold the power button down for a few seconds to repeat the vaporization process.

Before using your Exxus Twist make sure your battery is fully charged, you can do that by simply attaching the battery to the USB charger and plugging it into any USB port, when the light turns green it’s fully charged. Starting your Exxus is simple, all you do is press on the power button 5 times to turn it on and another 5 to turn it off. Adjusting the voltage is simple, just twist the dial on the bottom of the pen and choose your desired setting (be sure to play around with it!!).  Whenever I load my pens with concentrates I make sure to stick the product onto the inside wall instead of directly on the coil, I’ve found that it helps save the coil life from being coated in your concentrates.

First Use: I loaded my pen with the Wulf Tech dab tool with some Gorilla Glue #4 shatter and used the battery at the 3.7 setting, I exhaled and a lovely cloud of vapor came out. For shits and giggles I turned it up to it’s highest setting 4.8 and it hit TOO well, I was coughing for what seemed like 10 minutes, but nice and stoned. The Gorilla Glue was lighter in color and not very thick, so for concentrates similar I’d recommend using it on a lower to mid setting because it will burn faster.

Second Use: I’m a big fan of pre filled cartridges, so I decided to try one of those out with my Exxus. I used it on the lowest setting, 3.2 and it worked awesome, something I also recommend with the cartridges since they’re more syrupy than concentrates.

Third Use: This time I used a thicker shatter and went with some Grapefruit, a sativa that’s sweet and citrusy. I’ve been using thicker shatters at 3.6 to it’s highest setting 4.0 to get it heated up properly.

Vaping is one of the best ways to unlock a strains true flavor profile and many vape products have a variable voltage feature to help you further your journey, the Exxus has this and it’s my favorite thing about this pen. It’s heavier than other pens I own, which is something I liked because it felt durable, like it could withstand some roughing up. I usually toss it in my backpack with a bunch of other junk and it’s taken some beatings being bounced around and it still looks glossy and new. The Exxus comes in a variety of colors, mine is green and I was excited about it. Most of the vape pens I own are black, so the pop of color makes me happy. The Exxus Twist is by far one of the best vape pens I’ve used, it’s simple to use with some advanced features and decent battery life which is pretty fuckin’ sweet.
